HELP US FUNDRAISE - DIGITAL DISCOUNT CARDS ARE HERE!

The Gold Cards have gone DIGITAL and NATIONAL!  For just $25 you download the easy to use App and literally have hundreds of great discounts at your fingertips.  Of course there are great local discounts at The Gavel, Cafe Assisi, Parker's Pub, The Eaglebrook and more, but also Subway, Papa Ginos, and McDonald's everywhere.  Plus, you don't even have to be local - it adjusts your location to wherever you are in the country and shows you the discounts in your area.

Last year was a rough one for everyone and we are way behind in fundraising.  The funds help the KP Gridiron Club support the team with game day operations, gear, post-game meals, etc.  Your $25 donation unlocks hundreds of dollars in discounts!

IT'S TIME FOR FOOTBALL, FINALLY!

Are you ready for some football?  It's about time!  Our Warriors began practice on February 23rd preparing to kick-off the season on Friday, March 12th.  Let's GO!

Here's what we know:

  • Instead of 3 teams (Freshman, JV, Varsity), there are 2 distinct teams with no crossover - VARSITY & SUBVARSITY
  • It is a seven week season with no playoffs or state championship game
  • Schedules have been updated on this website with the opponents, dates, and times as they now stand, but subject to change
  • Spectators are limited to two adults (parents/guardians or chaperones) and siblings of particpating HOME players
  • Spectators are limited to two adults of senior AWAY players in accordance with Hockomock League regulations

The SUBVARSITY team will kickoff the season Thursday, 3/11 at 4:30 PM at Stoughton High School.  The VARSITY team kicksoff at HOME on Friday, March 12th at 4:00 PM.

King Philip Sports Network will be live streaming the scrimmage and home games on their Facebook pageClick to watch.

KP GETS THANKSGIVING DAY WIN!

Photos by: Joe & Elizabeth Gianni

The King Philip Warriors earned their 10th consecutive Thanksgiving Day win over Franklin with a 14 - 0 shutout at Macktaz Field.  Senior Running Back #34 Ryan Halliday carried the ball 40 times for 219 yards as KP grinded down the field for two touchdowns.  The Warrior Defense did what they do best and were relentless against a very good Franklin team.

It was a great finish to the season honoring the tradition of the turkey day rivalry.  The Warriors went 8 - 3 for the 2019 season and finished #16 in the Boston Herald Sweet 16 for Eastern Mass.

Thanks to everyone for a great season and we'll see you next year!  #futurelooksbright

KP BEATS BARNSTABLE, GETS ANOTHER SHOT AT MANSFIELD

Photos by: Joe & Sheree Gianni

The 2019 MIAA playoffs have begun and the Warriors did what they do best - WIN!  KP (#3 Seed) beat Barnstable (#6 Seed) 34 - 6 last night at home.  KP is now 12-1 in the last 13 postseason games.  Clear your calendars for next Friday when the KP Warriors face their biggest rival, the Mansfield Hornets, in Mansfield in the Division 2 South Semi-Final.  History says this rematch will be another epic battle not to be missed.

Last night the Warriors dominated in all facets of the game - the offense was a well orchestrated & executed machine, the defense was ruthless as usual and special teams came up with a kickoff return for a TD.  Senior RB #34 Ryan Halliday was back with a cast on his left thumb after missing 3 games and was on fire.  He ran for 101 yards and two touchdowns.  Senior QB Robert Jarest was very impressive at 11 - 14 with 152 yards and two touchdowns - he does it all - he runs, scrambles, throws & scores!  Sophomore #24 Nick Viscusi had a 78 yard kickoff return for a touchdown to start the second half and Sophomore #86 Drew Danson had some great catches, one which he grabbed a touchdown.

The Warrior Defense allowed just 3 first downs and 29 yards of offense in the first half.  In the second half they forced three Barnstable turnovers and kept them under 100 yards of offense.

Now it's onto Mansfield...again!  Go KP!
