KP GETS THANKSGIVING DAY WIN!

Photos by: Joe & Elizabeth Gianni

The King Philip Warriors earned their 10th consecutive Thanksgiving Day win over Franklin with a 14 - 0 shutout at Macktaz Field.  Senior Running Back #34 Ryan Halliday carried the ball 40 times for 219 yards as KP grinded down the field for two touchdowns.  The Warrior Defense did what they do best and were relentless against a very good Franklin team.

It was a great finish to the season honoring the tradition of the turkey day rivalry.  The Warriors went 8 - 3 for the 2019 season and finished #16 in the Boston Herald Sweet 16 for Eastern Mass.

Thanks to everyone for a great season and we'll see you next year!  #futurelooksbright

KP BEATS BARNSTABLE, GETS ANOTHER SHOT AT MANSFIELD

Photos by: Joe & Sheree Gianni

The 2019 MIAA playoffs have begun and the Warriors did what they do best - WIN!  KP (#3 Seed) beat Barnstable (#6 Seed) 34 - 6 last night at home.  KP is now 12-1 in the last 13 postseason games.  Clear your calendars for next Friday when the KP Warriors face their biggest rival, the Mansfield Hornets, in Mansfield in the Division 2 South Semi-Final.  History says this rematch will be another epic battle not to be missed.

Last night the Warriors dominated in all facets of the game - the offense was a well orchestrated & executed machine, the defense was ruthless as usual and special teams came up with a kickoff return for a TD.  Senior RB #34 Ryan Halliday was back with a cast on his left thumb after missing 3 games and was on fire.  He ran for 101 yards and two touchdowns.  Senior QB Robert Jarest was very impressive at 11 - 14 with 152 yards and two touchdowns - he does it all - he runs, scrambles, throws & scores!  Sophomore #24 Nick Viscusi had a 78 yard kickoff return for a touchdown to start the second half and Sophomore #86 Drew Danson had some great catches, one which he grabbed a touchdown.

The Warrior Defense allowed just 3 first downs and 29 yards of offense in the first half.  In the second half they forced three Barnstable turnovers and kept them under 100 yards of offense.

Now it's onto Mansfield...again!  Go KP!

KP WINS 14 - 0 ON A RAINY NIGHT

Photos by: Joe Gianni

It was a cold, windy and wet night at King Philip but the Warriors came up big with a 14 - 0 win against the Attleboro Blue Bombardiers.  The Warrior Defense was ruthless holding Attleboro to one first down through three quarters and keeping them to just 56 net yards overall.

The Warrior Offense dominated the clock with two clock eating drives each resulting in a KP touchdown. Just before the half, QB Robbie Jarest executed a 56-yard drive with Sam Callanan scoring from the one-yard line.  After the half, the Warriors put together a 60-yard, 16-play drive resulting in a Brian Wassersug touchdown to go up 14-0.

It was a good win against another big, tough Hockomock Kelly-Rex team.  KP is now 4 - 1 for the season and will face the Taunton Tigers on Friday, October 18th in Taunton.

Go KP!
