The KP Gridiron Club was founded in 2005. The Organization is chartered as a 501C3 charity and recognized and approved for solicitation with the Comm. of Massachusetts' Office of the Attorney General. All parents of players in the program are members of the KP Gridiron Club. Currently there is no fee for membership. The KP Gridiron Club is privately organized and is not a direct agency of the King Philip Regional School District. Our Tax Identification Number is 20-3025077 .
The primary Mission of the KP Gridiron Club is to provide a single entity for the Head Football Coach to communicate program information to the parents and players in a timely manner during the season and just as important, in the off-season. Communications regarding scheduling, camp information, meeting times/dates, clinics, and the like, are sent from this single source to all parents in the form of emails from and postings on the team's website www.kpfootball.com. The KP Gridiron Club coordinates collections from parents for various external program fees during the season, and serves to assist the Head Coach with Football Administration and Operations as they relate to the benefit of parents and players.
A second goal of the KP Gridiron Club is to raise much needed money for the unfunded program needs of the players. Emphasis is placed on soliciting outside funds to minimize the additional costs that would fall to parents/players. All proceeds raised go to benefit the players and program. Activities include an annual Golf Tournament, Parent Tailgate Barbeque, and other events that are presented and approved by the Head Coach and Fundraising Committee.
Finally, the KP Gridiron Club focuses on providing players and parents with an enjoyable playing experience during their time in the football program. We hope, over time, to build a proactive alumni base of Players and Parents that will continue to connect with and support KP Football. We also hope to reunite with Warrior players from years past and make them feel a part of their football brotherhood.
